Program Overview
Practical nursing is the second largest nursing group in Canada. Practical Nurses deliver care as part of a primary health care team and work in public and private facilities. The curriculum provides an integrated, professional, collaborative, and culturally competent learning experience with an aim to prepare graduates to care for individuals (and by extension, their family) at multiple life stages and in a variety of practice settings.
Articulation: Stenberg’s Practical Nursing graduates are eligible for entry to Athabasca University’s Bachelor of Nursing (Post LPN) program. Graduates from Athabasca’s Post-LPN Bachelor of Nursing degree then have the option to enroll in Athabasca’s Master of Nursing – Generalist or Nurse Practitioner program.
